Sunday 11th July 2010: We catch an afternoon ferry from Dover and have a short drive of about 40 miles to our first campsite near St. Omer. This evening everybody will be invited to an informal drinks reception so they can get to know each other. The campsite has its own restaurant offering very simple, but tasty meals. |
| 2 |
Monday 12th July 2010: Today’s drive is about 200 miles and will bring us to our campsite in the Champagne region. The journey will be nearly all on motorways so it will be a very leisurely day’s driving. |
| 3 |
Tuesday 13th July 2010: Today is a free day. There is a French hypermarket within walking distance of the campsite, so we suggest you take your shopping trolley and stock up on some of the delicious French delicacies. |
| 4 |
Wednesday 14th July 2010: Today we drive into the relatively unspoilt area of Alsace. The total distance will be about 200 miles. Our campsite is near the lovely village of Riquewihr and is well known for getting regular visits from a local stork. |
| 5 |
Thursday 15th July 2010: We will have a ride on the “little train” today, which will involve a tour around the vineyards which surround the village as well as around the village itself. If you wish, you can be dropped off in the village to explore on your own before walking back to the campsite. |
| 6 |
Friday 16th July 2010: We head east today and after another drive of about 200 miles we will arrive in the would-famous wine town of Beaune. Our campsite is within easy walking distance of the town itself. |
| 7 |
Saturday 17th July 2010: If enough people are interested we will organise an informal, but very informative wine tasting in the historic Pere Patriarche wine cellars in the town. This is an opportunity not to be missed, even for those who are not particularly interested in wine. |

Sunday 18th July 2010: Today is the traditional day of rest and we have left it completely free so you can do whatever you want. |

Our English speaking guide will show us all of the major sights, as well as some less well known. At the end of a long day, we will be returned to the campsite. |
