This tour has been planned to allow newcomers to foreign motorhome touring the opportunity to visit what is possibly the most Anglophonic area in Europe – Benelux. It follows a well-trodden path, visiting such interesting places as Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Brussels, Arnhem and the fabulous bulbfields at the Keukenhof. Some excursions have been included in the price, and there are also some optional events.
The tour could also appeal to more experienced motorhomes as there is sufficient free time for some independent exploring.

Itinerary
| 1 |
Sunday April 18th: We catch a mid-day ferry to Calais. A drive of about 70 miles will bring us to our first campsite near Bruges, where we can all relax and get to know each other at an informal drinks reception. |
| 2 |
Monday April 19th: The fascinating city of Bruges can be explored to today. It is known as the Venice of the north and you can walk in if you wish (about 15 minutes), or catch a bus from within 200 yards of the campsite. However you decide to visit, you will not be disappointed. |
| 3 |
Tuesday April 20th: A drive of about 150 miles, but nearly all on motorways will bring us to our Dutch base at a campsite near Katwijk. This evening we will arrange an optional tasty dinner in the campsite’s own restaurant if enough people are interested. |
| 4 |
Wednesday April 21st: Today we will be taken by bus to the world famous Keukenhof gardens. We will spend all day there among the finest collection of Tulips you will ever see. |
| 5 |
Thursday April 22nd: This morning we will be collected by coach and taken to Amsterdam for a tour of the city. This will include seeing the main sights, including Ann Frank’s house and a canal cruise. |
| 6 |
Friday April 23rd: We leave Katwijk this morning and have a short drive of about 50 miles to arrive at our next campsite near the important cheese market town of Alkmaar. En route we suggest that you take a detour to the picturesque fishing village of Marken. |
| 7 |
Saturday April 24th: Today’s drive will be about 125 miles, but it will include crossing the Afsluitdijk, which is the dam which was built to create the Ijsselmeer. As we continue south towards our next campsite at Luttenberg, we suggest a slight detour to visit the fascinating village of Giethoorn. This little village still has no cars and everything is transported by barge or punt - even the farm animals. An interesting contrast after the Afsluitdijk! |
| 8 |
Sunday April 25th: Another short drive – only about 45 miles – to our next campsite near Arnhem. In between Luttenberg and Arnhem is the fabulous Palace Het Loo, which is a Royal Palace built in the 17th century and lived in by many Dutch monarchs. This will be a fabulous place to take lunch before continuing to Arnhem. |
| 9 |
Monday April 26th: This morning there will be time to visit the war cemetery at Arnhem before a drive of about 75 miles which will bring us to our last Dutch campsite in the lovely town of Valkenburg. The site has its own restaurant and if enough people are interested an optional group dinner can be arranged. |
| 10 |
Tuesday April 27th: We head south today and after a drive of about 130 miles will arrive at our next campsite near the historic city of Luxembourg. Cobbled streets, ancient battlements, historical buildings, museums and art galleries blend with contemporary boutiques and outdoor cafés, giving the place a totally unique charm. |
| 11 |
Wednesday April 28th: You can catch a bus from near the campsite to explore the city of Luxembourg. This could be a wonderful day out. |
| 12 |
Thursday April 29th: Another 130 mile drive will bring us to our next campsite near the city of Brussels. Brussels is not only Belgium’s capital city, it’s also the seat of the European Union. |
| 13 |
Friday April 30th: We will be collected this morning by bus and taken on a tour of the city by an English-speaking guide. At lunchtime the tour will finish near an area with several bars and restaurants so you will have a large choice of where to eat. The afternoon will be left free for you to explore at your own pace before being collected and returned to the campsite by bus. This evening the Tour Director will organise a final group dinner if enough people are interested. |
| 14 |
Saturday May 1st: We head back to Calais this morning and after about 130 miles we will arrive at the port for our lunchtime ferry back to Dover. Alternatively, you could stay on the continent for longer to maximise your 60-day retunr ticket. |
